This morning a door bell woke up both of my kids after just a few minutes of sleep. I was quite angry at first, but my mood improved as I saw a postman holding a thick letter in his hands with my name on it. The LCD displays I ordered last thursday are already delivered. I must say I'm impressed by the shipping time.
Tonight after getting the kids to their beds I decided to get started with the LCDs. It took me half an hour to figure out all of the details about wiring up the LCDs with Arduino and some of the Arduino basics as well. I must admit that it was much more easy than I thought it would be. Just a few tricks and things to note, but basically it's EXTREMELY simple to master the texts on LCD with Arduino. Wait for the full article and pictures on my experience, which I hope to write in the next few days.
The next step is connecting the arduino with web browser and some desktop software. One of the next things to find out - the best options for making nice and shiny boxes for putting the contents of Arduino projects inside them. I don't think anybody wants to see a set of breadboards and wires on his table.
Besides that - tonight I tried to connect Arduino to my new Mac for the first time - no problems at all.
